It’s Ari here and I’m going to tell you what I’ve learnt this week. I’ve learnt that paint starts off wet and can leave your ear very white. I’ve also learnt that having found that out it was a great hoot to push Alfie against the paint so he got it on his side. Of course, my learning didn’t stop there. I’ve also learnt that undercoat washes off quite easily but gloss paint does not! I quite like the creamy colour so it’s not too big a deal, but I’d obviously have preferred not to end up with additional patches of colour. That last thought is only aggravated by my Mistress having found a white hair above my eyebrow this week. Oh it’s been ok for me to tease Shadow and Alfie that they are going grey, but I still think of myself as a young puppy. Finding a grey hair was not on my ‘to do list’. It was when our Mistress said ‘Well you are about 24 in human years’ that it really hit home. It seems that whether I like it or not, and for reference I don’t, I am now an adult and starting to show signs of getting older. In my head I’m still young, but then Alfie depressed me by saying in his head he’s still young too and he’s not about 65 in human years. I started wondering how Megan is doing and whether she is showing signs of getting older. She would be 5 now, so 35 in human years. That all rather depressed me and I thought about how I still miss her, even though I haven’t seen her for ages. She was my playmate. I guess it’s time I started thinking about what I want to do with my life, seeing as being a spoilt puppy seems to be off the agenda now. I think I probably ought to be an inventor or something like that which would use my talents. I’m going to collect a few bits and pieces from around the house and see if I can assemble anything out of them.
