There was me wishing a happy birthday to all my sisters and my brother and then I heard that my dear sister Emma died a few weeks ago. I was devastated. Emma was the one I was closest to when we were puppies. She was the most like me. I hadn’t seen her in recent years, which was a shame, but I often thought of her. This is the photo of me saying goodbye to her when we were six months old. You will have to wait for my birthday cake photo until tomorrow.
It wasn’t all bad news. We heard that we have permission for Shadow to mate with Rolex von der Auenrüti. Shadow was very excited when she heard and spent the day thinking about her trip. It’s going to be at least a couple of weeks before she goes yet, for a start she can’t go until my Mistress finishes in the pantomime. We also heard that all the dogs with our friend there have kennel cough, so we hoping they are all better before Shadow has to visit them. Shadow has had her microchip checked to make sure it is all working ready for her to go and all is well. We just need to get Christmas organised now so that if my Mistress is away it won’t be too much of a problem.
The other thing that happened yesterday was that my Mistress’s winter tyres arrived. It was funny, she was wondering what time they were going to be delivered so she went onto the delivery company website to see if it would give her any idea and found that it said ‘delivered’, so she opened the back door and there they were having arrived while she was in the shower. Shadow did shout up to us that there was someone at the door, but we didn’t take any notice.
