Wednesday 15th October 2014 – An ulcer

I had to own up in the end as my eye was obviously bothering me. I was taken to see the vet, ‘Hi, it’s me again!’ I wasn’t too thrilled at being examined or at having dye in my eye, but it did show that I have an ulcer on my eye. I think it was caused by getting something in it on Sunday. Anyway, I’m now on antibiotic eye drops three times a day and am hoping to feel a little better soon. It has left me feeling quite down and miserable again. I’m not too thrilled about the yellow dye that dripped on some of my white bits of fur either. I’m currently a four coloured dog and I really don’t think the yellow is a good colour. I’m getting lots of fuss and sympathy and that’s before I’ve had my other health tests through. I have to go back next Monday to have it checked and I’ll need drops for at least a couple of weeks.

On a funnier note, I think I’ve told you that our Mistress is in the village pantomime this year. Our Master is the baddie once again, but our Mistress is playing a Cherokee Princess. Anyway, she got it into her head that to try to look more authentic she would try to dye her hair black. The problem is that with having as many allergies as she does it is difficult to find hair dye she can use. However, she found a single wash hair gel that did not affect her skin and tried it out yesterday. To say it did not really work would be an understatement. Oh she got black hands, but her hair just looked a bit darker with black uneven splodges in places. I just hope that if she tries anything more permanent than that she will do it a bit more evenly, or she is not going to be looking her best!
