Monday 6th October 2014 – A Lovely Walk

I’ve conceded that walks are great when we all go together. It’s a bit difficult during the week now the evenings are dark but at a weekend we can all go out, my Master, my Mistress and all three of us and I quite like that. My Mistress has said she will start trying to take both me and Shadow at the same time occasionally, but it isn’t easy with us being so strong and her having a bad hand. It is much easier for us to go one at a time, but I haven’t been very cooperative on that score.

We heard yesterday that Megan is settling well so far in her new home. We so hope it all works and she is happy. It can’t be easy for her. We also heard that we are no further forward on sorting out the stud dog for Shadow. Hopefully we will make some progress on that in the next few days. It is so complicated, particularly as it may be Christmas when she needs to mate. If only we knew the timing more precisely it would be much easier to sort out!

Our Mistress is still sorting through everything from the loft and take car load after car load to the tip. The mice don’t seem to have eaten anything except a children’s car seat and we didn’t really need that anymore anyway. She was very relieved to find that the bag of teddy bears in the loft are safe and well and had not fallen victim to the mice. We haven’t actually found the mice either, so she is wondering if they have moved out again and aren’t actually there at the moment. She’s going to try leaving chocolate for them instead to see if that gets them to come out.
