Do not try sitting down when you are having your temperature taken at your rear end. You’d think it would be obvious, but this morning I was trying to move my delicate posterior out of the way and it was instinctive to try to sit down, which I have to say is not good with a thermometer sticking out of your backside. I am a bit concerned though, as my temperature was 37.8 this morning so I wondered if I should go for a lie down. That was 0.2 higher than yesterday morning. Do you think I’m going down with something?
Yesterday it was Shadow’s turn to do a meet and greet. She went to meet a dog called Bonnie who may be part Entlebucher. She was rehomed a little while ago and was advertised by the people as being fully one of us. Shadow had a lovely time and thought both she and her friend Merlin were lovely. She wonders if Bonnie has some Australian Shepherd in her. However with so few of us, we are willing to join up with anyone who wants to associate with us so as far as we are concerned she is at very least an honorary member of our pack. Shadow said it was a shame I didn’t go as she thinks I would have really liked her as she was lovely and gentle and so was Merlin. I’m happy to leave them to it. I don’t need to socialise any more than completely necessary.
I forgot to tell you that after making both Aristotle and me go swimming for the benefit of our health, my Mistress has finally listened to her own advice and went swimming on Sunday with our Master. She swam further than I do and is looking to go more often than I do – so I hope that doesn’t give her ideas. I’m being let off at the moment as I’m doing really well and am much fitter, whereas Ari needs the exercise and struggles to walk every day without limping. I think I will have to go next week.
