Monday 24th March 2014 – The front door

You wait more than three months of the front door to open again, after having been swollen by the rain and then it is usable for a week before it gets stuck… open! Oh a certain amount of brute force has managed to close it, but it will need to remain closed until we can get it properly sorted. It’s starting to look more fundamental than a simple repaint. The pool of water on the inside yesterday was a bit of a giveaway! That is not supposed to happen! Mind you I don’t think the mortar is supposed to have fallen out of the bottom of the window by the back door either. For the time being my Mistress has just quietly put that back in and is pretending it didn’t happen until she has more time to sort it out.

Shadow has been having her pre-season moult to a rather excessive extent. There is hair everywhere and I’m sure it isn’t mine. It has mainly been deposited around the places where Shadow sits, which is a bit of a giveaway. She is also behaving like a 2 year old which is another sure sign. It wouldn’t be so bad but with a 2 year old in the house it gets a bit much. She and Aristotle are rolling around playing like crazy things and it all gets a bit noisy and a bit out of paw. I am keeping my head down as being the safest option. I have a theory about Megan. I think her season will start at about the same time as Shadow. She was with Shadow when she went to Switzerland to mate in October and I think that Megan’s body resynchronised itself to Shadow. Of course I may just be being optimistic and hoping that Megan will come into season soon.
