Well yesterday did not go completely to plan. Not only was my Mistress’s visit to the place she was going completely fruitless but she didn’t find the pet shop that her friend said she couldn’t miss! She has no idea where it must have been and promised me she did have a bit of a drive around. Fortunately it was a much cooler day than Sunday had been so in the end Aristotle waited in the car while she went for the appointment she had. The man had very kindly said he could go in with her, but unfortunately it was one of those situations where Aristotle took one look at the man and decided he did not like him, not one little bit and proceeded to growl in a manner my Mistress has only seen from him once before. Aristotle was banished to the car and the new device that my Mistress has bought to prop the boot open but still locked came into play. She was a bit worried as it is the first time she has used it properly and whilst she knew it meant that Aristotle would be fine she was worried that all her belongings from the last few days might not be. Anyway, to be honest the mood Aristotle was in I think anyone putting their hand into the car would have come out minus a hand.
The journey home was longer than she thought so by the time she came home, pleased as she was to be here, she was very tired. As well as being disappointed that she is still at square one sorting out her bad back as it is not as simple as she had hoped. It will take her a few days to catch up. She’s off to collect my little car from the garage this morning. Much to her surprise it passed its road test and is fit to go. She just needs to tax it again now.
