Today Aristotle is having a well earned rest with our grandparents. My Mistress is still going to the show but not for the whole day and without a dog. Ari said to be honest he was ready for a break and was very tired by the end of yesterday. He was on the stand yesterday afternoon and during that time was interviewed by one of the dog papers too. He got our Mistress to do most of the answering but he chipped in as necessary. Everyone who met him fell in love with him. He really is very good at the whole meet and greet thing and whilst he finds it very tiring he doesn’t complain at all. He went to see a friend of my Mistress’s in the morning and saw her dog. They last saw each other two years ago when both he and Milly were puppies. He’s grown rather more than Milly so she was a bit worried about him, which was a shame as he thought she was lovely. Then another of our Mistress’s friend came to join her on the stand in the afternoon, which was lovely. It certainly helps to have friends who are dog lovers.
Meanwhile we are quietly waiting for them to come back and missing out on all the excitement. Shadow keeps pointing out that she has done all of that bit and is quite capable of allowing people to adore her. She was reassured when she was told that everyone has been admiring the pictures of her puppies that are on the stand.
We are waiting from news from Annie who is likely to give birth any day now. My Mistress was rather hoping they could announce it before the end of Crufts, but it may be just after things finish.
