Tuesday 25th February 2014 – Last day in the little puppy house

Today is Chekov’s last day with us. He leaves first thing tomorrow morning. He was started to play a little on his own, but is still happier if we will all entertain him. Ari has been trying to help on that score and has spent quite a bit of time keeping the little bear amused. Shadow has done a little bit but I’m trying to keep at a safe distance, from them rather than from Chekov.

IMG_1144Today’s photo is an extra special one. It is simply the most lovely puppy photo I think we have ever had. It just captured his expression perfectly. In fact I think it is so cute that you really ought to share it with your friends so they get to see just how wonderful we are.

He also had fun hiding under my Mistress’s bed yesterday. She took him upstairs when she went for a shower. He wasn’t so keen on the shower itself and sat as close to the door as he could get, but the more strange things he comes across now the better life will be for him and his humans. By contrast to the shower running to the middle of a king sized bed was obviously great fun, as any puppy will tell you. He was good and did come out when called.

He had a better night and didn’t wake up crying for the first time until 3.30am, either that or we were so tired we slept through it. Anyway, he didn’t cry for long then either but we did have to get up for him at 6.30 when he was desperate for a cuddle and his breakfast.

Cinderella wrote to say she had her first vaccination yesterday and had her claws clipped as well. She didn’t know much about it and apparently slept through the experience. She seems to be settling well and is enjoying herself meeting lots of different people and having new friends to play with.

Aristotle has proved he has grown up. No one closed his crate up last night so he had free run of where he was, but was as good as gold. Growing up comes to us all in time. It was just his turn.
