You get all excited about weights one day and then the next they aren’t so good. Oh don’t get me wrong, everyone gained, but after all putting on between 110g to 150g today’s figures felt disappointing. Chekov who is lovely and chunky is now 4550g having added 110g. He is still 400g lighter than the heaviest last year. Cracker added only 40g to reach 4430g. Cinderella added 70g to reach 4390g. Casanova did quite reasonably and added 110g to reach 4120g but he’s 140g lighter than the lightest at this stage last year. Cosette now weighs 3960g having added 80g and Cuddles only added 50g to reach 3420g. My Mistress has told her that she would like her to weigh 4.5kg by the time she leaves a week on Saturday. She says she really is trying her hardest and doesn’t know what else she can do.
Today’s video is a little quieter. Two of the puppies are in the foreground munching on a snack throughout proceedings, while the others play. They may be missing the Christmas tree which is in the wash after its difficult day yesterday. It is also being checked for damage! The Candy cane is out waiting for repair too, it may be back tomorrow if my Mistress remembers to get out the needle and thread. See the video here http://youtu.be/CtLN4AzSuG8
The puppies used a lot of determined effort to remove the tape securing the whelping box in place in the corner of the pen. Then when my Mistress was out of the room they pushed the whelping box into the middle of the pen. Now she has decided it will have to come out as if they can push it there they could push it back again and trap one of their brothers or sisters behind it. It’s all part of beginning to put everything away again until the next litter.
Today we are back to Cuddles. She’s funny. When she needs to do a poo she runs round in circles madly, really really madly before squatting down. I’m surprised she doesn’t make herself giddy and fall down first. She may be the smallest but she is very cute and very affectionate. She’s not afraid of anything, but isn’t keen on being apart from her brothers and sisters and mainly wants to be with Chekov. As long as she has him by her side she is very happy. When they went outside she was one of the most adventurous and you can see her here.
