Today the puppies are 4 weeks old. The time has really flown by and it is lovely to see how they are growing. Weigh in today will be interesting as yesterday the puppies kept asking for extra meals. After breakfast at 6 they had a snack at 8, then a meal at 10 and another snack at 12.30, before lunch at 2pm. The food is now thicker but that does not seem to have phased them at all, they just look funnier when they have smeared it all over themselves. They also ate at 4, 6, and 8. My Mistress thought after a day of 2 hourly feeding there was little chance of an unbroken night. At 10 they had supper – which they brought both reindeer and polar bear to (they will be in the wash today!) and had a good meal, followed by a bottle top up for those still hungry. Unbelievably they then slept right through until 7 this morning when they were ready to pounce on their breakfast and all looked as though they had grown overnight!
What was disconcerting was that I woke to find Shadow had got into bed with me. That’s the downside of a big comfy bed. Everyone wants to join me. I prefer my own space, unless it’s my Mistress, but I’m not one to complain too loudly. I normally look to my Mistress to resolve the situation but she was asleep and it was dark so I was stuck with it.
They are meeting some new people today as my Mistress’s nephew and his girlfriend are coming to stay.
