Sunday 1st September 2013 – Not so very different

There is no pink Mohican. As it turned out the biggest obstacle to my Mistress dying her hair a completely different colour is her extensive allergic reactions to chemicals. The hairdresser said that he thought it would be a high risk that she would have an adverse reaction to the dye. Ah well, maybe she’ll have to invest in a pink Mohican wig instead.

Today is the big race in the village. The 10k race where more people enter than the total residents of the village and about a quarter of all residents help. My Master and Mistress are manning a drinks station at the 3.5km mark of the race. I offered to go to help but for reasons I can only guess at why they didn’t think that such a good idea.

I’m sorry to say my lovely collar with the Swiss flag on it got broken yesterday. I don’t know quite what happened. I think it was probably when Megan had got me pinned down and Aristotle has jumping on me. All in all it wasn’t a good moment, both because no one likes being jumped on and because I liked the collar. My Mistress has promised that when she goes to Switzerland in a couple of months she will bring me a new one. That led to Ari asking if he broke his collar would she bring him a new one too. We all have different collars and my Mistress explained that it was going to stay that way as however much she knew us all apart it was the only way visitors seem to be able to work out who is who. Shadow is brown leather, Megan is bright colours, Ari is purple spotted and I was Swiss flags. For the time being I have my old one on but that is very similar to Megan’s.
