Monday Midday – A routine develops

If you have been watching on the puppy cam you will start to notice that a routine is starting to develop. At night the puppies seem to eat at 10.30, 12.30, 2.30 and then 6.30. During the day they eat about 8 and are then weighed and cleaned out. From there it is a bit more haphazard with feeding every hour or two through the day depending on when they are hungry and Shadow is not otherwise engaged. At least it means if you are watching at night you have some time as to when there is going to be activity. If you are watching during the day you’ll just have to keep watching.

My Mistress is worried about Beethoven. She was a little concerned about him yesterday, in some way he just didn’t seem himself and today when she has weighed him he has lost weight. He was 1270g yesterday but today he is only 1240g. That really isn’t good news. We are going to give him extra help at meal times and possibly some time with his mum on his own and see how he is later. The others are all doing really well. Boadicea added 80g taking her to 1220g. Bumble added 40g taking him to 1320g but out there in the lead Bossanova added 80g to take him to 1360g and Britannia was at it again adding a massive 90g taking her to 1380g. I’m just hoping that Beethoven is going to be ok. We’re worried about the little chap. There was one day last year when Arnie lost some weight but there was a question mark over the reading on the scales on one of the days, I can’t remember why, so we were less concerned. Come on Beethoven!
