Friday 31st August 2012 – The Sun is out

I mention the sun is out as it is such an unusual occurrence. It’s not exactly warm though. It’s not the sort of day a dog lazes around outside in the sunshine snoozing. It’s more the sort of day that he sits inside looking at it through the window – so that is exactly what I plan to do. There isn’t much else I can do. The set up of my new computer is not going well. I’ve had to use the old one to write this on. My Mistress was working on the setup late into the night, but as with all these things – the software she bought to make the transfer easy, doesn’t seem to want to work. It might have been quicker had she tried to do it as she always has before. Anyway, I can get the old one to turn on if I kick it a few times and repeatedly turn it on and off, so I’m just hoping it holds out long enough.

Unbelievably Shadow has still not started her season. My Mistress is getting seriously worried that it will all coincide with the Fun Day and that she will be in Switzerland on the one day she can see all the Entlebuchers in this country. The irony would be dreadful.

We have heard from Amigo. He says he isn’t doing too badly. He’s still finding some situations difficult and stressful, but he likes Ireland and is now not so worried around busy roads. He says he’s not a slim fit dog too and would be happy to race against any of us. I’m going to take his word for that one. I don’t need to prove myself to anyone.
