What can I say? My Mistress has gone completely stark raving mad. She blames our Entlebucher Club Secretary, but frankly I don’t think she needs any help at all. We didn’t do it. They are not mine, they are not Ari’s. Really, they aren’t! These are not our paw prints. We did not climb all over the car and however much my Mistress has made it look as though we did, we are not responsible. Actually, come to think of it, responsible isn’t a word I’d use to describe her either. Who in their right mind had optional paw prints on the car? Aren’t the muddy ones we put on there enough? Would she rather we ran through tar and then jumped on the car to make our mark permanently? To be fair, knowing our Mistress she would probably be happy if it was our permanent marks. It would have saved her buying some pretend ones.
Meanwhile it turns out that one of Ari’s brothers has taken to sleeping on the dining table. We may be mountain dogs, but I would say that is taking practicing a little too far. Aristotle on the other paw is learning to dance. He seems to have mastered the walking on two paws and is now progressing to partnering my Mistress in waltzing round the kitchen. Now, I’ve heard that heelwork to music is very popular but I didn’t realise we were now moving on to ballroom dancing. You can just see him doing the foxtrot and maybe a little rumba. I will of course be staying firmly in my seat. I was not built to dance. I was built to lie on the couch and wonder what on earth is inspiring him to behave more like a human than the humans in the house.
