Now, I know you are going to tell me I shouldn’t have been arguing with Megan in the first place and you are probably right, but I twisted awkwardly and seem to have trapped a nerve again. I’m back on medication and feeling very sorry for myself. What with me in pain and not wanting to move and Ari still limping we make a great pack. The vet was giving me an update on Aristotle’s leg. She was telling me what was unlikely and saying if he were a ‘stoic’ dog he wouldn’t make a fuss if it were one of the possibilities she mentioned. I was being very attentive and then when she said that we didn’t seem to be a particularly stoic breed I gasped. How can she say that? We are fearless. We were bred to take care of the herds. We climbed mountains. Admittedly we aren’t overly good at being in pain and I did limp into the surgery hamming it up for sympathy, but what a thing to say to a dog. Anyway, with Ari we need to monitor how he goes for the next couple of weeks and then we have a joint appointment to see how we are doing. He is only allowed light exercise in the garden with me for that time and I wasn’t planning on doing a great deal it should be very light!
With the weather starting to feel like spring, my Mistress is threatening to do some gardening at the weekend and possibly even continue with our summerhouse project. It would be very exciting to get that finished. We still don’t know if we will end up moving as a result of my Master’s job but we can’t stop doing things in the meantime – which means the summerhouse project is back on. Anyone out there any good at DIY and want to lend a hand or a paw?
