If you don’t use the internet all the time then what I am about to say is going to make very little sense to you at all. Of course, what I say may make very little sense most of the time, but this in particular might fall into that category. Have you noticed that as you become more used to getting instant or almost immediate replies to things that you send out you start to expect that from everything? You write a letter and sit wondering what the other person’s response is to what you’ve said, even though the letter is still sitting on your desk in its envelope having not even made it as far as the postbox. It makes all perception of time and reality a very different thing. It also makes you wonder how long it will take for travel to catch up and what the implications would be if it did. If at the point you left, you simultaneously arrived somewhere else without any lost travelling time it would mean so much could change. You could live anywhere in the world and work somewhere completely different. You could visit friends and family whenever you wanted to. You could find a secluded spot whenever you needed to get away. The possibilities are endless. You can just imagine the family argument over where you were going to live. I’d vote for somewhere quiet with open countryside and not too many people. I wouldn’t want to be by the sea and I wouldn’t want it too hot. I would like the weather to be quite dry thought. Megan, Shadow and Ari would probably want somewhere it rains a bit more as they like playing in mud and they might even choose the seaside. My Mistress would be happy as long as it wasn’t windy, while James would prefer somewhere hotter. Andy and my Master would definitely not choose somewhere rainy and my Master wouldn’t want it to cold or too hot. So now, I’m going to spend the rest of Sunday looking at the map and the internet working out where there is which would make us all happy. I’m guessing we may just have to stay where we are as there is no way we will all agree on that one!
