Another week begins. My Mistress is coughing and sneezing all over us. Aristotle is too bouncy and annoying first thing in the morning and I’m being a grump. I’ve never been a morning dog, but since the weather has turned cold I can honestly say that getting up is overrated. As long as I can then find a nice warm, quiet corner to curl up after I’ve had my breakfast then by about mid-morning I’m ready to be sociable. Ari is so excited to see everyone in a morning. He wants to bounce on me and I really can’t do bouncing in a morning. He is in my Mistress’s good books this morning as he has managed to both pee and poo outside without her having to stand there for too long.
We are trying to work out when we can visit people at Christmas. The problem is that most people aren’t expecting to be descended on by four dogs as well as the family, so the first thing to do is to settle the argument on which if any of us will go into kennels. It would only be for a day or two, but none of us really wants to do that when the alternative is to visit family who would spoil us rotten. I get priority treatment, so it’s unlikely to me that has to be kennelled. I’m guessing if two go to kennels it can’t be Shadow and Ari as she is still not being nice to him and as it is me that gets on best with the little fellow he will probably come with us. It’s a shame, I could quite enjoy a couple of days break from him, perhaps I should volunteer for kennels.
We’ve been starting to plan for when Megan has puppies. As long as she passes her final test in April, she will meet a stud dog in May. My Mistress has found a boy that looks suitable. He lives in the Netherlands so it wouldn’t be quite as long a journey. I asked Megan if she was going to try to write to him and get to know him before they meet, but she says she wouldn’t know what to say. His dad had a litter with my mum, so there are family links already. We’ll be back to posting information on another litter of puppies before you know it. I’m pleased to say that my Mistress has agreed that there is no circumstance in which she would keep a puppy from that litter!

Oh she says that now…. 🙂
Oh Alfie you sound just like my humans, sleepy and grumpy in the mornings when all I want to do is jump around, play tug and lick their faces. Its a shame you guys don’t live closer to us, it sounds like Ari and I have lots in common! :o)
