Thursday 10th November 2011 – Newspapers come at a price and Adrienne

Children please take note. It is never sensible to retrieve newspapers from a recycling bin, even if it is for the good of a lovely little family of puppies. It is also never good to go with a friend who then drops the bin lid on your head! James was not happy to be hit on the head by a bin lid and ended up having to go to Accident and Emergency and was kept in hospital last night with concussion. The puppies are feeling very contrite at putting him to such trouble and are looking forward to giving him a big thank you hug when he comes home.

Adrienne was very excited to hear the news that she may be able to go to her new home rather sooner than she thought. She loves her blanket  and is very enthusiastic about going off into the big wide world to her new home and her new doggy companion, Sasha.

I’ve been to the vet for my leg again today and we have decided the best thing is that I have some x-rays. It means I’m not around tomorrow. The worst bit is that I won’t be allowed any breakfast, which is never good news. Anyway, it does mean I can see some of the sense in Aristotle’s suggestion and reluctantly I am delegating writing my diary to him for the day. Megan would have done it, but to be honest she’s a bit moody at the moment with being in season. Girls are just so difficult to fathom. I’m not really looking forward to it. It will only be the second time I have had an anaesthetic and I remember last time as though it was yesterday. I was fine, but my Mistress spent all day shaking.

You will see from the video this afternoon that the puppies have had a surprise present this morning. My Mistress has bought them two new panels to their pen and increased the size by 50%. In an ideal world she would increase it by 100% but then she wouldn’t be able to get out of the room. She is looking at the possibilities. Anyway, the first problem is how to set the camera up to make the most of it. That’s my job while my Mistress makes some running repairs to the puppies’ toys.
