We have a plan – Monday 8th November 2021

We have a plan

We have a plan for our muddy walk. Friday is the day. The weather forecast says it’s going to rain on both Wednesday and Thursday so I’m hoping that means there’ll be mud by Friday. Mum says as long as the week goes to plan we’ll go along the road near out house which joins up with the Shakespeare’s Avon Way. I don’t think we’ll go all that far on that as Mum doesn’t want to do the parts that meet up with roads. If I’ve read the map correctly, there is a part that goes along the side of a brook and then meets up with another footpath. I’ll send you some pictures when I’ve done it.

One of the things we still have to agree is where I will stand while she brushes any mud out of my coat. I’ve said we can do that in the hall. Funnily enough Mum sees that part differently.

An argument with Dave

We all thought that Mum had seriously lost it yesterday. Dave is the Yucca plant and he’s currently living in the greenhouse. Mum needed to take some other things into the greenhouse and she ended up having a full-blown argument with Dave. We could hear them from outside. When I say ‘them’ it was mostly Mum we could hear, but Dave gave as good as he got and poked her in the eye at one point. I’m pleased to say by the time Mum came out of the greenhouse peace had been restored and in an amicable settlement Dave had moved further into the corner so that Mum could find space for the cuttings and get to water them without injury.

Today’s excitement

Today we have an electrician coming. He’s got a whole long list of jobs to do. Mum has asked us all to leave him in peace and quiet and mostly not to jump on him. How well does she know us?

Love
