Whisper who dares
Hush hush, whisper who dares, Mum is trying to balance some accounts. It is not going well. It didn’t help that we had workmen in the house yesterday and she was already feeling stressed. I offered to help her and held up my paws in case she needed some extra digits to count on. It didn’t help. On the bright side, we did all take the warning to be quiet seriously and apart from the odd moan we were pretty much silent. It didn’t help. At least we get a bit of a reprieve today as Mum has to go to the dentist and the optician. We’re going along for the ride, but I’m sure she won’t mind if we have a jolly good sing in the car.
The skip has gone
Yesterday was something of a milestone. The skip has now gone from the front of the house. Mum says that means she doesn’t have to throw anything else away now, but looking around the house I think she might be kidding herself. As long as it means no more of our beds will leave the building then it’s probably no bad thing. Various screws and glue arrived yesterday too, so I think she might be planning the next phase of work. We like it when Mum does DIY and odd jobs as she moves about all the time.
Except for Shadow
That’s not strictly true. Oh, she does move about but poor Shadow doesn’t like it. She plonks herself down heavily every time Mum stops and then struggles to push herself up again to move on to the next location. She even ends up stopping somewhere central and just waiting for us all to pass by the next time. It would help if Mum would give her a schedule of the locations she’s going to be working in so she could plan ahead.
