The best days
The best days are ones like yesterday. It started with a big cuddle in bed with Dad. I am never happier than when I can snuggle in between both my humans and get them both to rub my tummy in exactly the right spots. It was a sunny day too which meant plenty of outdoor time. Shadow was overjoyed as Andrew came to see her. She was as proud as anything and wouldn’t stop telling me and Aristotle that it had made her feel special. Mum said she was funny as she was outside with him for about an hour and a half and she was getting very tired but just wouldn’t sit down. She didn’t want to miss out on any of it. She hadn’t seen him since last summer, so I don’t blame her for being excited.
Helping Mum
I helped Mum cleaning down some of the garden furniture. Having got that all sorted I suppose it will now start raining. I wanted a turn with the power washer, but she didn’t seem to think it would be safe in my paws. Why would she think I would not be safe with something attached to both the power and the hosepipe? I shouted some encouragement and left her to it.
Cuddles
Mostly the day was about cuddles. Lots and lots of cuddles. I’m trying to make up for all the time I didn’t see Dad. He can’t be in any doubt I’m glad he’s back. I’m not backward when it comes to showing my affection to the special people in my life. I do find it brings the best out in people when you remember to tell them you love them. I’ve suggested that Shadow should try that more often, but she really doesn’t see the need. She wants things on her terms and that’s all there is to it.
