Swiss Dawn C Litter – Sunday 4th April 2021

Swiss Dawn C Litter

I’d like you to say a very big welcome to the Swiss Dawn C litter. Cotton and Carling Eiger were born on Friday. I am their great-aunt. Their proud parents are my nephew, Edison Eiger vom Rickental (known as Eiger) and Ophelia vom Gspan (known as Lia). Lia is a wonderful mum. This is her second litter of puppies and she really is very good at it all. Carling Eiger was born at 15.06 on Friday afternoon weighing 500g, which is a very good weight. Cotton arrived a couple of hours later at 17.32 and weighs 470g. Mother and pups are all doing very well so far.

They have been checked by the vet and Carling Eiger had his rear dew claws removed. The problem if we don’t have them removed is that they catch on things and can cause a very unpleasant injury. Removing them when very young is much less traumatic. He’s absolutely fine. Cotton didn’t have any dew claws to remove.

More good news

It really had been a weekend of excitement as my niece, Izzy has come into season this weekend. She is hoping that it will be third time lucky in going to meet the stud dog. She was supposed to go to the Netherlands last March but the first lockdown got in the way. Then things didn’t go to plan when she tried to mate six months later. Now we are all willing her on and hoping for a happy outcome to her attempts to become a mother.

Here at home

Here at home we had another lovely day yesterday. I wouldn’t have believed starting work on the wardrobes could be so much fun. Dad was going back and forth helping to empty everything out of the wardrobe. I was stopping him for a cuddle at the midway point every time he came back. It suited us both rather well. I do like having him here and I’m doing my very best to show him how much it means to me.

Love

Wilma

  1. Hi, HAPPY EASTER everyone. What great news about the puppies and good luck Izzy. I am excited as we are seeing James and Angie today, the first time for ages. It will be in the garden of course and we have to keep apart. I hope I do not have to wear a mask or worse, shut indoors. Mum and Dad have their second injections this week so we are all very pleased that they will be safe.
Have a lovely day Love from Dickens XXXXXXX
