That was odd – Sunday 5th April 2020

That was odd

Well that was odd. Obviously, I’ve known that Dad is in the house in theory, but I hadn’t seen him yet. There I was out in the garden yesterday when he shouted out of the window to me. I went bonkers with excitement. I just wanted to go to find him but Mum says I can’t yet – how mean is that? She has promised I will be the first to see him when he is allowed to join us on Monday afternoon, but until then I have to be patient. Do you know how hard it is for me to be patient? Dad did the same thing when Aristotle went out, but he just wagged his tail and then carried on with what he was doing. Let’s be honest, he’s a real ‘mummies boy’.

Lap Dog

Mum has been spending some time every afternoon sitting with Aristotle to cheer him up. He’s on crate rest at the moment so it’s not much fun for him. To be fair he’s the most laid back dog and doesn’t seem to mind, but Mum still doesn’t want him to feel too left out. Anyway, you can tell he’s feeling a bit better as when Mum sat in the chair yesterday, he insisted on climbing on her lap. It’s not that big a chair, but a human having a 27kg dog on their knee is definitely not what it’s designed for.

Ari’s front leg is much better, but his back one has a long way to go. I think he’s going to be on crate rest for a while.

Plan for the day

Well my plan for the day is to spend some time outdoors in the garden. If I can get away with it, I’m hoping to do a bit more digging and eat a stick or two. I hope you’re having fun too.

Love
