Windy weather
None of us really like the windy weather we’ve got at the moment. We’re all a bit jumpy. Alfie was already confused as there were more people around in the house and he didn’t know what to do, then when the wind got up he got very concerned. He’d have settled down much more easily if Dad hadn’t put a film on which involved bombs exploding. I think Alfie thought it was really happening. The rest of us realised it was just the television. He doesn’t want to go outside when it’s blowing a gale either. Unfortunately we live at the top of the hill and the front door faces the direction the wind comes from. It would be much easier for him if he could go out of the back door, but that would mean going down the stairs and he can’t do that.
In the end he spent some time lying at Dad’s feet and seemed quite happy about that – at least until he got up again and walked round.

Saying Goodbye
Now we’ve got to say goodbye to Dad again as he is flying back. He’s not going straight home, but is off to Germany first. Mum has to drive him to the airport. My job is to cheer Mum up when she gets back. I’d go with her, but Alfie is going in the car so it’s not so easy for me to go along as well. I’ll be ready to give her my usual affectionate greeting as soon as she comes back.
Waiting for news
We’re still waiting for news on when Izzy and Lia come into season and go to meet their respective boyfriends. They are keeping us waiting at the moment. Shadow simply sighed and said she knew what it was like. Then she and Mum started reminiscing about some of their escapades years ago. I do hope everything goes well for Izzy and Lia and their humans.
