Quarantine is Dull
I can honestly say that quarantine is dull. Mum is trying to keep us all apart at the moment to try to prevent the tummy bug spreading any further. She is also not letting us go for walks around the village so we don’t spread it to other dogs. So far, Ari seems to be recovering well and Alfie is still poorly. Shadow and I are doing ok, so maybe her plan is working. You’d have laughed if you’d seen Mum outside in her pyjamas at 3am with the hose pipe washing down where Alfie had just been to the toilet. If any of our neighbours had seen her they would have confirmed their suspicions that she’s not at all normal. She says she is very tired and really looking forward to a better sleep.
Weekend plans
We’re just waiting to find out what is going to happen with our weekend plans. Mum is going to talk to the kennels this morning, so it’s really going to depend on how Alfie is. I’ve got my paws crossed. Mum has said she’s not sure about risking me staying in a hotel though, so I don’t know what she will decide. I think she may be packing lots of cleaning cloths and disinfectant if we do go!
Ari’s birthday
Ari had a very quiet (and for quiet you can read dull) birthday yesterday. It’s no fun when you’re still recovering from being ill. He did agree to have his photo taken with the sunflowers that are out in the garden, but he made Mum promise to make sure she got his best side and not to get too close. To be honest, he didn’t really want his photo taken at all.
Oh I so want to go to see all my friends. I do hope everyone decides it will be ok. Mind you, the whole point of Dad having a weekend at home is so he gets to spend some time with Mum. It’s going to be awful if he now has to go away for the weekend without us.
Love from
Wilma
