Snow Day
Oh I know it’s time for Friday Flashback, but I have to tell you about our snow day first. Alfie did not go to the vet. Yesterday morning roads in an out of our village were not in a very good state and people kept getting stuck. Now he will go with Aristotle tomorrow morning instead. Mum thinks giving his eye a bit longer may be a good idea as she thinks there are now signs of improvement.
Ari said he wanted his snow picture in the diary today. He was helping Mum with a couple of jobs outside, including getting all the snow off our oil tank ready for a delivery. Sadly, even after they cleared the snow the delivery man could not get the wagen to our house. Anyway, I thought you’d like to see the icicles on our summer house too. They really are rather good.
Flash Back
This is what was happening in 2011. I’m not sure if I’m telling you in order to torture you about the weather now, or to be optimisitic that our weather will improve soon.
2011
Now that the weather is improving I think my Mistress is planning to get the summerhouse up and running again. I’m not sure that she is quite ready to move the keyboard down there yet, but I think she might go down with the vacuum cleaner and a duster and get it looking beautiful. She has only got round to planting one of the four flower boxes and even that is still looking very unlikely to flower. She says it is too early, but that isn’t stopping the snowdrops in the lawn. We have an exercise to undertake to clean out the water feature too. The water doesn’t smell very nice so I am not volunteering for that one. I think my Mistress is planning to wear some long gloves and a mask when she does it. Ah the joys of summer. On a more positive note there appear to be little buds coming through everywhere and I can really start to believe that one day the sun is going to shine again.
Well that’s all from me for today
I’m going to play in the snow
Love
Wilma
