Saturday 14th January 2017 – You call that snow?

As a country we have at last got some snow. Sadly, someone else has got it rather than us. Alfie about summed it up when he went out and looked at it disdainfully and said it was hardly worth peeing on! It is however quite cold and he has curled up in the kitchen next to the radiator. Our Mistress says she could do with working in gloves but she doesn’t find the keyboard as easy to use. I think it feels so cold because of the direction the wind is coming at the house and it is very windy! Other than toilet breaks, I don’t think I have any real need to leave the house today. I can always say my leg is hurting if it looks like our Mistress is threatening to take me out. You can see the North York Moors from the office window and it looks as though they at least have a white covering up there. Wilma tried asking if we could go up there for the day, but our Mistress was not keen.

Alfie’s regular blood tests have come back as normal so he can forget about that for another couple of months. I think next time they will just take it from his neck without sticking the needle in both his legs first. It can’t be much fun to have to have them so often. I can’t remember the last time I had to have a blood test and I’m not planning to have one any time soon. Shadow says that is one thing she’s grateful for now she has retired from having puppies, that and having a thermometer stuck up her bottom at regular intervals. She said that at last with the giving birth part, while it was unpleasant, and at times painful, she did have some lovely little puppies to look after at the end of it. She never seemed to think I was lovely when I was small!

Have a happy Saturday
