Saturday 3rd December 2016 – Poor Little Heidi

It’s me, Aristotle here and I need to tell you how Heidi is. She’s not very well. Apparently, she was very quiet yesterday so the vets were concerned and did an ultrasound scan to see what was going on. To cut a long story short she had to have another operation yesterday so she will be really sore and miserable and spending the weekend in hospital which is never any fun. We’ve got all our paws crossed that things start to go right for her. She’s still only eight months old and has been through so much in her short little life. We all wish we could do more for her, but she’s in good hands and we know the lovely vets and nurses are doing everything they can to cheer her up and make her better.

Meanwhile I’m going to get our Christmas tree today, at least I hope they will take me with them. I might have to wait until they get home as they have to take my seat out to be able to get the tree in the car. I will at least be able to help with decorating it when they get back and I really like that bit. I’m hoping we’re going to put the fake tree up in the office too so I can see it all the time. The real one goes in the hall so we don’t get any ideas about knocking it over or peeing on it. As if either me or Alfie would do something like that! The thought wouldn’t enter our heads… ok, it would. The stuffed toy moose’s head is already wearing his Santa hat so I know it must be nearly Christmas. What is funny is that the advent candle our Mistress bought takes too long to burn for each day, so according to that it’s still only the first of December and could be for some while!
