Saturday 17th October 2015 – Three weeks old

The puppies are now a complete three weeks old. They celebrated last night with a bit of a party through the night and our Mistress isn’t feeling quite so great today. To be fair I think it was the excitement of their big move that got them talking until the small hours. They will be moving at about 9am this morning so you should get to see them in their new home later. The grass is in place and has been watered, now all our Mistress has to do is start introducing them to it. I’m waiting to see how many worms and creepy crawlies have come in with it!

Weight gains were modest but we are not too concerned about that as they should start moving onto ‘solids’ today, although that can’t happen until after our supermarket deliver arrives at 11. So they should be trying the new food by their lunchtime feed. Of course Shadow will still feed them at every meal too, but she will go in after they try the new food. She has to be kept out of scent range while they try it, otherwise they just queue up waiting for her to arrive.

D’Artagnan is unsurprisingly still in the lead. He now weighs 2325g an increase of 50g. Della only gained 5g to reach 2145g, but she’d been having some big gains so that is not such a bad thing. Duchess added 60g and is now 2050g and Dixie did some catching up and added 85g to reach 2020g. There really isn’t that much between them and they are all wonderfully chunky and cuddly according to both our Master and our Mistress.

  1. Hello, I am back from my holiday and I had a great time. I have been catching up on “news from the puppy pen”, those rascals have been keeping you very busy.
I cannot believe how big they are now. I am off to help with jobs in the garden and look forward to seeing the video later.
    Love to you all
