It’s Ari back again now. Poor Mum (Shadow) wasn’t feeling too well yesterday. She had a bit of an upset tum and just wanted to rest. I asked if it was all the excitement of having so many people around, but she said she might have eaten something that disagreed with her. Fortunately she is having a quieter day today and our Mistress is taking good care of her.
As for our Mistress, we still don’t know what her surprise was as I talked to her in the afternoon. I’ll have to tell you that bit tomorrow. She had been out for a wonderful cream tea for her lunch at a place called the Black Swan in Helmsley and actually managed to eat it all! She was very happy but needed a nap before going out to start again in the evening. She asked me to stress that the four scones in the foreground were not hers as well – just the two on the stand… and the cream cakes… and the sandwiches!
She says when I get home I can take pictures of the puppy house and scales to show you too, but those will have to wait. It’s funny, almost everything she had related to either food or dogs and in some cases both. I think that says a lot about her. She says she might need to sleep for a day or two before starting to cook some of the recipes in the books she’s got, but we can wait! She got a cushion for the settee with a Swiss flag and an Entlebucher on it and another with a pocket for dog treats so we can all cuddle up while she recovers and be very comfortable. All we need to do now is go home so we can try them all out.
