Whilst we all settle down a bit, our Mistress is trying something different. I’m not sure I’m really in favour as it means there are times I cannot be with her, but to be fair it was working quite well yesterday. We are rotating who gets to have some time on their own so there are no more than two of us in the office at the same time, but so none of us has too much time away from our Mistress. I didn’t think I’d like my time out, but if I’m being honest I get the best sleep in my hour out than I’ve had in a while. The house was really quiet so our Mistress got more work done too. The upside is that because she could get her work done with fewer interruptions there was more time to take us out for walks. She said that the oddest thing was that Aristotle didn’t know what to do with himself in the time that he was in the office with Shadow and I wasn’t there. Normally when he gets bored he comes and pesters me and that’s when the trouble starts. Shadow made it quite clear that she was not prepared to be pestered and that was all there was to it. It left him wandering round wondering what he could do to entertain himself. It did disturb our Mistress when he kept going up and asking for a cuddle but she said that was not so bad as when the barking starts.
It is good to finally have some summer and I think it makes us all feel better to see some sunshine. It certainly makes my joints easier and that has to be a good thing. I even enjoyed swimming today, but don’t tell my Mistress I said that.
