This is really exciting. My Mistress says we should get the paperback version of my diary finished in the next week or two. It’s been in ebook form for a while, but for one reason and another it had never got as far as being a paperback, but all that’s about to change. It’s all thanks to Buddy and his owner Emma. He’s another Entlebucher, just a puppy really. Anyway, he was at the last Fun Day and he had helped Emma draw some really nice pictures for my Mistress and said he wanted a signed copy of the book, (signed by me that is). Well how could I disappoint my public? It will all be sorted very soon, there is just a final check of the book setting and the finishing of the cover design to do. To be fair I’m supposed to be working on the cover, but I’m struggling a little so I’m going to have to wait for my Mistress to help me. She’s done more things like that and I really don’t want it to turn out wrong.
I can’t be too demanding over help with my book as my Mistress is trying to write her next novel too and I think that is probably more important… to her anyway. I think she sees it as the pinnacle of her writing career, or at least her best work yet, so she’s taking it fairly seriously. She has written 10,000 words so far, which means there is still a very long way to go. She wants to get the first draft finished by July, so she can’t hang about too much. Come to think of it, I don’t think she actually mentioned which July she had in mind!
