It\u2019s very odd coming back from a weekend away to find a section of your garden is not the way you\u2019d left it. As a dog you feel it your duty to ensure that your territory is under your control and when that is thwarted by the plans of humans you get an uncomfortable feeling. Oh, I know I had to supervise the arrival of the \u2018aggregate\u2019 and I know in theory what is going on, but I didn\u2019t actually expect anything to happen while I wasn\u2019t here to keep an eye on it. I need to able to say \u2018careful where you tip that barrow load\u2019 and other such profound expressions. The oddest thing is the \u2018small\u2019 tree branch that was not connected to the tree that needed to be removed for safety. Now that it is down from where it was dangling it looks huge! It\u2019s just a good job it didn\u2019t descend of its own accord. I\u2019ve checked out where the ground has been levelled, and I must say that I could not have done it better myself and as for the hard work in shifting a tonne of small stones and getting them in place well I\u2019m glad I was only planning to supervise! I\u2019m now looking forward to the next stage and hoping it is while I\u2019m around to help<\/span> hinder operations. (I would just like to point out that that alteration was made by my Mistress who seems less certain of my talents).<\/p>\n

The discussions on the impact of Shadow not being pregnant are continuing in our house. The negotiations are long and drawn out, but last I heard there was a compromise on the table which if it can be made to work will keep everyone happy including Shadow. You should see our Mistress\u2019s reaction when people say \u2018Well, does it matter if you mate Shadow again?\u2019 You can almost see the steam coming out of her ears at that point. She replies that she has been passionate about developing our breed for a number of years and for her it comes before almost everything\u2026 almost!<\/p>\n
