Our Mistress is away with Alfie so I\u2019m at home kicking my heels. I\u2019m not so good at the whole boredom thing, I tend to make mischief to compensate. Shadow and our Master are thoroughly fed up with me so I wondered if you\u2019d like to entertain me. With being so busy telling you all about that yesterday I didn\u2019t tell you how Alfie got on at the vet. He\u2019s got a lump in his neck and it\u2019s deeper than the other fatty lumps he\u2019s got and feels a bit different. Anyway, he\u2019s going in on Wednesday to have a biopsy. He\u2019s got to be sedated for it to happen as there are lots of important bits in that part of the body so it\u2019s hard to get a needle into it without him being completely still and shaving the fur off so they can see what they are doing. He\u2019s asked if they can take the wart off his nose while he\u2019s already sedated so if nothing else he\u2019ll be back to his old handsome self when he comes home. Apparently he was very good when he was waiting for his appointment at the vet. He had to wait longer than normally as they had a very sick cat to look after and then a lady came in and put her cat basket (with a cat in it!) on the floor right next to Alfie. He said he\u2019s never sat that close to a cat before and they were next to each other for about twenty minutes. He didn\u2019t know what to do. He wanted to have a good sniff, but didn\u2019t want to get too close. In the end he just sat quietly next to the cat and left it to the cat to speak first. Of course, being a cat she didn\u2019t say a word to him and probably thought she was above him in the pecking order, but that\u2019s cats for you.<\/p>\n
