Aristotle here: Today\u2019s update is about my younger brother Dickens. He was two years old this week, so he\u2019s just over a year younger than me and is from Mum\u2019s second litter. His name at birth was Torfheide Bumble but he\u2019s gone all posh and now has a double barrelled surname with his human\u2019s kennel name included too. I think that makes him Torfheide Bumble at Dolliesgang but I may have that the wrong way round. This is what he wrote to me:<\/p>\n

Hello Ari,<\/p>\n

\"Dickens\"<\/a>I am answering your request for news for when you start your entries in the diary. Well done on getting the job.<\/p>\n

I hope you like my picture it was taken when  I went on my  first holiday  in October. We stayed in a cottage with a big field to run in. I had a great time going out every day which included a trip to the seaside.<\/p>\n

I like running with my beagle mates in the fields, walking in the woods and along the canal.<\/p>\n

I go to Obedience classes which are held in a paddock or in the woods. If we do good work we are allowed some play time. I love meeting all the different dogs .I might try some new activities after Christmas.<\/p>\n

I enjoyed my first trip to Discover Dogs. It was nice having Bella there to show me the ropes (don`t tell Alfie!)as she had been before. Lots of people came to see us and find out about the breed and they took loads of pictures on their phones.<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to my birthday next week. I will be two and I am hoping I can go for a special walk and have some extra treats.<\/p>\n

Now on to a funny story about the pantomime. Alfie is going to be so cross that I get to tell you this, but he did give me weekends and news is only news if you cover it as soon as possible. My Master plays Captain Hook. He has the most amazing black wig and a hat that has lots and lots of black feathers. On the opening night in the dressing room he picked his hat up and my Mistress said \u2018Careful you\u2019re losing feathers everywhere.\u2019 He brought the hat down to eye level and that was when the mouse that had turned the feathers into a nest poked her little head out and looked at him. Feathers were going everywhere and the mouse was none too pleased. After trying to hide behind some chairs and everyone trying to catch her she ran under the stage. They think she stayed there for the whole performance as they didn\u2019t see her again. Now we\u2019re waiting to hear if she turned up again last night and whether there is any more damage. We\u2019re just hoping my Master\u2019s hat doesn\u2019t suffer any more damage! Apparently the pantomime itself went very well, but the cast did spend the evening keeping an eye out for their new friend.<\/p>\n
