Well Shadow had a temperature and colitis and was not feeling too good at all when she went to the vet. She had to have two injections and said she was really sorry she\u2019d found dead things to eat on her walk the other day. It\u2019s so easy to be wise after the event. You smell a dead animal and before you think about it you\u2019re automatically wondering what that dead animal might taste like. It\u2019s a downside of living in the country. You don\u2019t stop and ask yourself \u2018what did that animal die from?\u2019 you\u2019re in there without a second thought, until our Mistress catches you and then there\u2019s trouble. Anyway, Shadow is being allowed a little of the special food that is gentle on her tummy and has some special water to drink, although she is refusing that. She\u2019s also got some probiotic paste to help put things right. She\u2019ll be back to her bossy self before we know it. In the meantime it is a bit quiet. Ari is sulking because he hasn\u2019t got a playmate and I\u2019m sulking because she\u2019s taken my bed so she can be close to our Mistress while she\u2019s working. I\u2019m just hoping that once she\u2019s better I get my bed back as it\u2019s my special one that I\u2019ve had since I was a puppy.<\/p>\n
My Master has been accusing my Mistress of making us the most spoilt dogs in the world. I really don\u2019t think that\u2019s fair. I\u2019m sure there are little lap dogs that are treated in a far more revered fashion. He doesn\u2019t think we need as many beds around the house, or to be able to monopolise the cushions and settee. We did remember to leave him room to sit down, ok maybe he couldn\u2019t stretch out because we were lying there, but that happens in all households with dogs. It really isn\u2019t just us\u2026is it?<\/p>\n
