There was a surreal moment yesterday when my Mistress was returning to her hotel room and met her toilet coming out of the lift. It all started when the toilet started dripping, clean water, from the cistern all over the bathroom floor. My Mistress found the tap to turn it off and reported it to reception. In my Mistress\u2019s opinion there was a crack in the toilet and it didn\u2019t look good. The maintenance man came. \u2018Oh it\u2019s just the bolt,\u2019 he said, \u2018I\u2019ll sort it while you are out.\u2019 My Mistress was grateful but sceptical as it most certainly didn\u2019t just look like a bolt to her. And so it was that the maintenance man was seen wheeling the old toilet away and my Mistress had the pleasure of christening a brand new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As she had a little free time my Mistress undertook a mercy mission to Walmart. With her food allergies she has been finding it hard to get food she can eat and has resorted to eating things she knows will make her ill, but was so hungry that she didn\u2019t know what else to do. Anyway, she went to the supermarket and bought some fruit and maple syrup and even bought herself some disposable cups and bowls to make it easier to have her random picnics as she travels. She\u2019s all set for another long drive today \u2013 it will be around 500 miles in total, but it\u2019s not like 500 miles in England would be as there is no traffic so it is much more relaxed and she\u2019s got all day to do it. She said the last time she drove that far in a day was the day that Shadow\u2019s microchip failed and she had to drive back to Switzerland when she was supposed to be coming home. That\u2019s three years ago now, but it seems like only yesterday. I said that to Shadow but she said she\u2019d rather not be reminded.<\/p>\n\n\n

As she had finished at the Orphan Train Museum, my Mistress went to the Cloud County Historical Museum. She expected something small and half-hearted but was surprised to find a remarkably good museum with a fantastic range of artefacts. If it weren\u2019t so far from almost anywhere, she\u2019d wholeheartedly recommend a visit. D\u2019Artagnan missed that bit but he did get to go to the Orphan Train Museum today and even made some new friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
