\"IMG_1206\"<\/a>You may vaguely remember the \u2018banana crisis of 2011\u2019 when (again while we had puppies) my Mistress ordered 7 bananas and found she had 7 packs of 6 bananas each, so ended up with 42 bananas. Well\u2026 we are now in the midst of the mushroom crisis of 2014. She needed 8oz of mushrooms, which is less than 250g. She read it as 8 mushrooms but as she wasn\u2019t sure how big they would be she ordered 10, in case they were smaller than expected. As it turned out, the size of them meant that 8oz was just 3 mushrooms. Her 10 mushroom order was actually 10 containers of mushrooms, a total of approximately 40 very large mushrooms  – which means we have 37 spare very large mushrooms. Her mushroom soup cooking became a mega mushroom freezing session and there are still 4 cartons taking up most of the fridge. The rest of the cooking she planned was less eventful and my Master has requested further large quantities of the Irish Coffee ice cream be made without delay. My Mistress said she would do it on condition he\u2019d have mushrooms on toast for breakfast\u2026 lunch\u2026 tea\u2026 supper\u2026<\/p>\n

We heard from Scout (Cuddles) yesterday. She is doing well but finding teething difficult and wanted to know if it was ok for her to chew on her new human\u2019s socks. I told her it was best not to do that. Ari used to be a sock thief, but he only ever used to take them and hide them in his bed. When we lived in Belgium I used to deal with it by having metre long chews which would last me 3 months at a time. They only cost \u20ac10 and were the best value dog occupier you can imagine. Sadly the shop didn\u2019t do them anymore when my Mistress looked for them last time she was there.<\/p>\n

My Mistress is working very hard to try to learn German. It is slow going and not something she is very good at. The software she is using suggests she now has a vocabulary of 144 words. I tried testing her by saying \u2018Der Hund hat Hunger,\u2019 but she wasn\u2019t having any of it.<\/p>\n
