I\u2019m feeling rather down. Just after I finished writing my diary this morning, Shadow flew at me for no reason and bit my ear. All I was doing was walking up to the office between where she was sitting and the puppy pen. I don\u2019t know what she thought I was about to do. Anyway, it meant a trip to the vet and an antibiotic injection but that was only after I\u2019d shaken large amounts of blood around the kitchen. It turns out that the hole goes all the way through, so I\u2019m thinking I could start wearing an earring to make me look a little tougher.<\/p>\n

Weight gains were reasonable and in some cases good. Chekov had a quieter day only adding 70g to reach 5330g, but that is probably as well as he is getting difficult to weigh and is a lump to pick up. Cracker added 110g and is now 5200g, so not far behind her big brother. Cinderella had a good day and added 120g to reach 5130g, so she is not far behind. The only disappointing gain was Casanova who added 50g to reach 4680g but his gains had been ok so there is no problem. Cosette did well adding 170g to reach 4560g and clearly intends to make it to 5kg before she leaves. Cuddles did ok too. She added another 100g and is now 3910g. We are still hoping she may make it to 4.5kg before Saturday. She is definitely doing her best.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s video is to show that the puppies do have much quieter periods of play. We don\u2019t usually video those as it\u2019s not always so much fun to watch but it just shows they can play nicely too. You can see it here http:\/\/youtu.be\/0hPVn3sd0m0<\/a><\/p>\n

Once piece of good news we received today is that Megan is going to mate with Rino von der Untergass. Aristotle is finding it all a bit hard to get used to as he saw Megan as his girlfriend and still misses her, but the whole mating thing is made much worse for him as Rino is his father. Imagine having your girlfriend go off with your dad! Our Mistress is very happy about it though as Rino is a lovely dog and you only have to look at how Aristotle has turned out to know that the puppies will be wonderful. We just have to hope that Megan gets pregnant this time. We are crossing everything for her. Her season is late so it will be a few days yet before they mate. I\u2019ll tell you more about that litter and what will happen over the next few days when there is less to talk about with these puppies.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_1089\"<\/a>Today we are doing an update on Cosette. She is leaving us on Saturday so we have a few more days with her yet. We took her in the other room for a little photo shoot. She didn\u2019t want to stay still but we did manage to get some pictures.<\/p>\n
