The vet thinks Shadow\u2019s lump is just a fatty deposit. Normally she would stick a needle into it to draw a little off to look at, but she doesn\u2019t want to introduce any risk of infection so she says it is best to wait at this stage. She did say that Shadow is looking in great condition and seems to be doing well. She is eating us out of house and home but that can only be a good thing. She\u2019s not a greedy dog and only ever eats what she needs. The problem is that she likes a little at a time so my Mistress is having to shut her into a room apart from us so we don\u2019t try to help her clear the bowl. We do know if we are told to leave it that it isn\u2019t for us, but it can be too tempting, particularly to Aristotle. He was helping himself to what was given to Shadow yesterday morning and wouldn\u2019t stop. My Mistress told him off but rather unusually he just carried on. It was then she realised she had, by mistake, given Shadow Aristotle\u2019s bowl so he was only having what he fairly assumed was his own breakfast.<\/p>\n
What was funny earlier today was when my Mistress couldn\u2019t find Ari. Ari is always with our Mistress. Unless he has been shut somewhere else he would have to be dragged screaming and kicking from his spot near her. Anyway she couldn\u2019t find him. Her first thought was that she had shut him outside and forgotten to let him back in, but he wasn\u2019t there. She called him and eventually she looked in and found him curled up in the whelping box that is all ready for Shadow. Even though he was only tiny when he was in it and it was over two years ago it must still feel like a very good safe place to him.<\/p>\n
