My Mistress saw a big comfy bed with a deep foam layer and a really soft snuggly cushion that she thought would be perfect for me. She knew she couldn\u2019t get away with bringing another dog bed into the house, even if I do have a bad back and am getting older. My Master\u2019s argument is we are happy to lie on the floor so what is the point of ever more comfortable beds. My Mistress\u2019s argument is that whenever I have the choice of the settee of the floor I always choose the settee \u2013 or their bed \u2013 whichever! Anyway, she couldn\u2019t just blow the money on a new bed for me. When Granny and Grandpa asked her what she would like for Christmas she said there was nothing she wanted for herself, but please could she have a bed for me. They are as soft as she is, so of course they agreed. Yesterday she came home carrying the biggest and most comfortable dog bed I have ever seen and it\u2019s all for me. She curled up in it and said even she could sleep in that. Anyway, best of all she says I don\u2019t have to wait until Christmas day and I can have it now. I am very lucky and will promise faithfully to make the most of it and take care of it. One day I\u2019m sure she will choose something for herself, but in the meantime she says she gets more pleasure out of seeing me happy than anything else could give. Last year she had trees in a forest. We really must go and visit them and make sure they are ok. Perhaps we should take some Christmas decorations to put on them. She and I went for a lovely mother son walk in the afternoon yesterday too \u2013 she really is trying her best to cheer me up.<\/p>\n
