Now I know she sat down and explained why it was we were doing it, but quite honestly I felt like a criminal. I think I may have mentioned that my Mistress is having a necklace made which has mine and Aristotle\u2019s paw prints embedded in the silver. Well obviously for that to happen we had to give our paw prints. I had imagined she\u2019d photograph them or something similar, although I\u2019m not sure what I thought there was that was similar! No, we\u2019ve been paw printed. You know how when a criminal is finger printed they have to put their fingers into a pad of ink and then press their finger clearly onto a sheet of paper, well Aristotle and I had to do the dog equivalent and it wasn\u2019t fun. There were two methods. First we tried the inkless method onto some special contact paper and for all we know that may have worked but it didn\u2019t seem to be a great success from our point of view. Then we tried the ink method where our Mistress wiped one of our paws with ink and then we had to stand on the paper. I at least had the decency to stand back while Aristotle did his, but he had the nerve to pounce on me at the same time I was carefully leaving my paw print for posterity. In the end my Mistress got signatures from us that she thought looked half decent and has very carefully packaged them up to send off to the company who makes them. Only time will tell whether the degradation on our part has been worthwhile. I\u2019m expecting to be writing my next diary entry from my cell in the dungeons, having been arrested for some petty crime like food theft and been caught because my paw print is now on record.<\/p>\n
