It is definitely feeling like autumn and that is not a good thing. We haven\u2019t finished enjoying summer yet, the thought that the long cold season can start now and go on for around ten months (if last year is anything to go by) is not a thought I want to have right now. Besides which, I\u2019m not well. I don\u2019t know what the problem is. If I still feel like this later I shall be going to the vet at my own request. My side is very tender. If you so much as touch it I squeal. I don\u2019t know whether it was an injury form the tussle I had with the others on Saturday or something more alarming, but I\u2019m not a happy dog.<\/p>\n
Yesterday my Mistress did rather more exercise than is good for her. Because she was going to be helping with the village\u2019s 10k run, she took Megan out quite early and did 5km with her before it was even 8am. Then in her wisdom she decided to cycle to where she was helping run a drinks station, only to find the hill from here to there was rather steeper than she anticipated. Then when it was time to come back she couldn\u2019t come down the way she\u2019d gone, which is only about 1km as the runner were on that stretch of road so she has to go the long way round meaning she ended up cycling about 5km on top of her walk. For a fairly sedentary person that\u2019s an awful lot of exercise. She then cycled back down to the village later. She said it reminded her of being a kid when she was always on her bike and loved it. Then she used to cycle round some old trees for hours, now at least she does try to go somewhere rather than just round in circles.<\/p>\n
