In the true style of cooperative domestic appliances the freezer decided it had had enough yesterday. It didn\u2019t exactly stop working as start making a funny noise and then gave off a bit of a burning smell. My Mistress decided that the prospect of the house burning down was not one she was ready to face and started a mammoth task of emptying it. Now fortunately it hasn\u2019t got too much in at the moment and we do have the bottom half of the fridge freezer in the kitchen so a rather odd exercise ensued. All food has been taken out of its respective boxes so that it takes up less space. Now, whilst my Mistress can remember how to cook everything the rest of us may have less of an idea. Ok, so it\u2019s not a problem with the ice creams although there have been offers to eat those to assist with space. In the end the only things that wouldn\u2019t fit were a few blackberries and the citrus fruit skins that my Mistress saves to make candied peel. Thankfully she did squeeze in the vegetables that she so carefully froze the other day. At least it means that Shadow and Megan are not going to have to deal with it catching fire while we are away. That\u2019s the sort of thing that\u2019s easier for a male dog to deal with. I\u2019m not being sexist, it\u2019s just that we can cock our legs and try to pee the fire out whereas the girls don\u2019t have that luxury. Using a hose pipe is easier said than done when you have paws to handle it with.<\/p>\n
Shadow is completely fed-up with having her paw in a bandage. She wasn\u2019t really limping to begin with, but she is now. She says it\u2019s not because it\u2019s hurting more it\u2019s that she is conscious of how awkward it is and it gets in the way. She\u2019s a bit depressed about it but she\u2019ll soon perk up when it comes off.<\/p>\n
