Shadow is feeling sorry for herself. Her paw is bound and then in a plastic boot. She is not impressed and walks as though she hope the boot will go in an entirely different direction. She keeps looking at it with disdain. The good news is that the growth on her foot is in no way tumorous, but we don\u2019t yet know what it is. The portion that our vet has cut away is being sent to the lab for further analysis. Anyway, she\u2019s getting lots of tender loving care and fuss and is at least being able to make the most of that. She says she doesn\u2019t fancy going for a walk for a day or two but would rather put her paws up at home.<\/p>\n
My Mistress is frantically getting ready for us going on holiday. She\u2019s trying to make sure she has done all her work before we go and at the same time done all the preparations of the things we need to take. I said \u2018It\u2019s not like we are going to a really strange place. We know we can buy the things we need when we get there,\u2019 but apparently that\u2019s not the point, although I don\u2019t know what the point actually is.<\/p>\n
My Mistress is very excited as a friend of hers is designing a book cover for her next book and she saw the first draft yesterday and it\u2019s brilliant. Now she\u2019s really excited about the book coming out in October. She\u2019s promised that after that my Woodland Stories can come out as a paperback but that won\u2019t be until next spring, I think. It\u2019s made me wonder if it\u2019s time to write another one, but I\u2019m not sure what to write about next. I wondered about writing a modern day Philosophy of Aristotle.<\/p>\n
