Happy Independence Day to those of you across the pond celebrating leaving us this side of the pond behind. It\u2019s a funny day here and an even funnier week and not in the laughing sense. My Mistress is spending today in hospital having her hand \u2018manipulated\u2019. That makes it sound all rather painless but the reality is they are forcing her fingers through the range of movement and may have to cut her hand open again to get to the joint they put in. She is none too happy about it all as you can well imagine. I said it was better than working but the look she gave me suggested that she didn\u2019t agree. It\u2019s going to mean she\u2019s slowed down again for the next few weeks and may not be able to drive which will rather complicate things.<\/p>\n
The second piece if news becomes more complicated when you consider the first one. Megan rang and said she\u2019s tried her best, but please can she come home. She\u2019s suffering with anxiety and missing us all too much. Of course my Mistress said yes and if it hadn\u2019t been too late to get us cared for yesterday would have driven down immediately to collect her. She is sorting out for my Master to go this weekend. She\u2019s sat down with us all and said when she comes home we must all make a special fuss of her and make her feel welcome and tell her how much we are happy she\u2019s back. I said \u2018Even me?\u2019 but my Mistress said \u2018especially me\u2019 so I guess that\u2019s sorted then. We started the usual discussion of who is going to sleep where but my Mistress said she hasn\u2019t decided yet. Ari is hoping it may mean he comes on holiday after all, as Shadow won\u2019t be on her own, but my Mistress says she\u2019s going to think about that as well.<\/p>\n
