Well to be specific he has been caught with compost on his nose and a nose shaped dent where the cauliflowers are trying to grow. It’s the dog equivalent of being caught red-handed. He claims he was just trying to see if they were ready yet, however it is my considered opinion he has been eating the food pellets!

My Mistress received a lovely story about a lost lamb yesterday. It wasn’t your average lost lamb, little Fluffy as he was nicknamed or number 67 as it turned out his real name was, had been stolen and then abandoned on a busy road. He was only little and managed to make his way across the road and headed for the local park where lovely people looked after him until a nice policeman took him to the station. Little 67 was later reunited with his mother and brothers and sisters on a farm in a village a little way away. The problem when she reads stories like that is that she just want to add some sheep to our menagerie. Can you imagine the degree of mayhem that would arise?

Megan and Shadow have gone out for the day so we’re having a boys’ day at home. My Mistress wanted a special day out for Megan before she goes off to her foster family on Friday. She has fully recovered from when she was ill and is looking really fit and healthy. She’s quite worried about the coming months we are doing our best to reassure her. Ari is going to miss her so much. He loves playing with her and to be honest it is mutual. She’s really fond of him. What a shame he couldn’t have been a stud dog.

Alfie Dog with a little help from Rosemary J Kind alfie@alfiedog.me.uk

Alfie’s Diary – the Book is available at Amazon UK –https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00583ZGSA

You can find short stories to read at www.alfiedog.com

Ari has been caught with his nose in the trough – literally.
