Alarmingly it is a bank holiday weekend and the weather forecast is good. I think this is something that we should all make a note of as it doesn\u2019t happen all that often. I\u2019m hoping it\u2019s going to mean we can all spend quite a lot of time outside together as I think I need something like that. I think I need to take some time out to do some thinking. My Mistress sat me down yesterday and said she wanted to talk about my recent behaviour. The problem is that over the last few months I\u2019ve become a grumpy old man and it isn\u2019t doing anyone any good, least of all me. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s causing it. I do feel stressed and would like more time without the others, not without my Mistress you understand but without the bother of the other dogs. For all that I will miss Megan while she\u2019s away, but when the others are around I am tending to be more grumpy than when they aren\u2019t. It\u2019s not just that I\u2019m looking a bit grumpy, the problem is that I tend to bark very loudly to get my own way. Sometimes I bark right in my Mistress\u2019s ear, usually by mistake, but she\u2019s never very happy about it. I don\u2019t know why I\u2019m feeling this way, I\u2019m not aware that there\u2019s anything wrong health wise, certainly nothing I could put my paw on. Maybe it\u2019s just because my Mistress has been down and that has rubbed off on me. I think what we need is for me and my Mistress to book ourselves a log cabin for a week again, just the two of us for a little rest and relaxation. I did try suggesting it, very quietly so that the others couldn\u2019t hear and my Mistress did at least take me seriously, if only to say she\u2019d got too much to do and it wasn\u2019t an option right now. So it\u2019s back to the drawing board and see what the options are. Perhaps I should go and sort the summerhouse out so we could stay in that for a week.<\/p>\n
