It\u2019s the water butt again. The wind has blown it down the garden. My Mistress retrieved it and this time to keep it in place she put a couple of bucket loads of water in it \u2013 at least that was the theory. It seems in being blown down the garden it has sprung a leak where she had repaired it. As you can imagine she wasn\u2019t happy. She is going to have to move to plan B, which involves fibre glass rather than silicone to repair it. I still say she should take it to the tip and get a new water butt, but she insists she isn\u2019t going to be beaten. It\u2019s going to be a long game and as far as I can see there\u2019s only going to be one winner and it won\u2019t be my Mistress.<\/p>\n
Mind you she\u2019s losing the game of throwing away parts of Aristotle\u2019s bones too. She makes the mistake of putting them into the office bin and then gets upset when he empties the bin in his desperate attempt to keep all his bones together. It wouldn\u2019t be so bad if he stopped at just finding his bone, but he insists on chewing each item he takes out of the bin while his search is in progress. My Mistress will leave the room for ten minutes and come back to find the bin contents spread around the office, all with at the very least a corner missing. She is going to have to move to using a bin he can\u2019t get his nose into if she\u2019s going to reduce the number of bones lying around.<\/p>\n
My Mistress needs to do a practice run with her snow chains before setting off at the weekend. She looked at the forecast to see if there was a nice day when she would be able to do it, but it turns out there isn\u2019t and just to upset her further she saw just how cold it is going to be when she gets to the other end.<\/p>\n
